Myrefall
Myrefall is a rough desert city in the Destitute Lands, located in the arid interior north of Vainlake. It is a lawless settlement characterised by mud-filled streets, basic mud and brick construction, and a thriving drug trade. The city has an active nightlife with a largely nocturnal population, and its reputation is shaped by crime and the general harshness of life in the deep Destitute Lands.
Geography
Myrefall lies in the desert interior of the Destitute Lands, north of Vainlake on the road towards Lyikdia. The journey up from the coast passes through increasingly arid terrain as the coastal landscape gives way to the dry, harsh conditions of the Destitute Lands' interior. The city sits in a valley area near the approaches to the Itumue Mountains, which must be crossed to reach Easthills and the Mediata Savannah beyond.
The weather around Myrefall is extreme, subject to fierce storms with high winds and sharp temperature drops.
Economy
Myrefall's economy is rough and largely informal. The city supports basic commerce — taverns, inns, and provisioning — alongside an extensive illicit trade. The city is reputed to have a back-alley drug trade. The city has no formal regulation of trade.
